Microdosing GLPs/Ozempic/Semaglutide for Metabolic Health with Dr. Tyna Moore

Dr. Tyna Moore is very cutting edge and is a total thought leader when it comes to microdosing Ozempic and Semaglutide for metabolic health. She looks for the TRUTH and doesn’t follow trends or what other people will “like”. There seems to be a lot of villainizing against the use of these peptides, yet, as Dr. Tyna Moore points out, we don’t point fingers at people using high blood pressure medication, and it’s essentially the same type of “lifestyle” medication. There are a number of people who think that eat less and move more is the ONLY answer – but that is simply not true. Metabolic pathways and mitochondrial health along with hormones are a HUGE player in the game of weight loss and health.

In this episode, we dive deep into Ozempic, Semaglutide, and the broader class of GLP-1 peptides with expert Dr. Tyna Moore. Contrary to popular belief, these peptides are not just for weight loss but also offer numerous benefits for metabolic health, neuro-degeneration, and more. Dr. Moore emphasizes the importance of personalized microdosing, highlighting the significant impact on gut health, immune modulation, and overall well-being. We discuss the vital role of strength training and bioidentical hormones in optimizing health during midlife and challenge the myths and propaganda surrounding these treatments. Learn how to find a knowledgeable physician and the importance of being your own health advocate.

What Are GLP-1 Agonists?

Ozemic/Semaglutide/Wegovy and Mounjaro/tirzepatide are GLP-1 agonists. GLP-1 agonists are designed to mimic our natural GLP-1s that we make inside our body that are secreted from our gut and our brain. There are receptors for this peptide hormone throughout the entire body. Another example of this type of peptide hormone is insulin. Semaglutide is essentially bioidentical to the peptide we create on our own. It’s been tweaked a little bit to have a longer half life, meaning it lasts longer in the body.

How Did Semaglutide/Ozempic/Tirzepatide Become So Trendy?

It was a happy accident. It was originally designed 20 years ago to help with neurodegeneration (like parkinsons and alzheimers), and it just happened to be helpful for type II diabetes. Somewhere in the last few years, the efficiency in weight loss came to surface and people went crazy over it!

Who Are These GLP-1 Agonists Actually For?

Simply put, they are for whoever needs them. Each person and patient has individual needs. Metabolic disease is usually at the root of many paths to disease that we see – from heart disease, to high blood pressure, cognitive decline, PCOS, hormonal imbalances, etc. There is sooo much that can be done during the decade leading up to a metabolic dumpster fire known as type II diabetes. GLP-1’s can help HEAL, regenerate, and fix metabolic pathways and mitochondrial performance.

GLP-1 agonists can be used to calm down inflammation in the brain, reduce pain, calm down metabolic and cardiac dysfunction, reduce joint pain, and so much more.
