Sleep, Anxiety, and Lack of Mental Clarity with Barton Scott Founder of Upgraded Formulas

SO MANY women in midlife are navigating challenges like sleep disruptions, anxiety, and lack of mental clarity. While it’s easy to just blame it on being in midlife, it doesn’t have to be the case. I brought Barton Scott on the podcast because he is a pure engineering magician when it comes to optimizing our minerals, elements, and nutrients that are absolutely fundamental to our overall health, well-being, and basic human performance.

Permission to Eat More Chocolate with Jonathon Pantalis, Founder of Living Ratio

Health by CHOCOLATE! Yep, I said it! Chocolate that is good for you! One of the most common questions I get when women begin my fat loss plans is actually “can I still eat chocolate?” (and of course, “can I still drink a glass of wine?!” lol). I always say yes. Truth is, there are SO many health benefits that can come from chocolate  (it could actually even pass as a superfood maybe)…as long as you are eating the right kind of chocolate – because there is a lot that can go WRONG with chocolate, too. I had Jonahtan on from my personal favorite chocolate company Living Ratio to tell us all about what we should be looking for in our chocolate.

Enzymes and Correct Supplement Dosing with Doug Grant

Doug Grant is known as “The Formulator” and has made SUCH A BIG difference in my life in terms of testing and supplements. I mean, who knew that you’re actually supposed to FEEL your supplements when you take them?! Lol I didn’t – and never did, until I started taking his. They are such high quality supplements that I can actually FEEL the difference when I take them. I feel more alert, more energized, more focused. Not in a caffeine way…but just an extra edge in your performance. Come to find out, a lot of the supplements we can find out there (even if from a “good natural brand”) are synthetics and make it hard for our body to even use – if it even can!

Cortisol and Stress in Midlife with Keri Glassman

Cortisol often gets a really bad wrap as just the bad belly fat stress hormone. BUT…cortisol is NOT a bad thing. Cortisol is actually a good thing…when it’s controlled properly and is doing the job it is supposed to do. When you’re producing the right amount at the right times, cortisol can also improve our energy, acts as an anti-inflammatory, helps with memory, helps to manage blood sugar and blood pressure, helps decrease pain, and increases motivation. It also helps with our immune system and brain function.
